Because of his upbringing José David arrived lacking in many basic manners and ideas of appropriate behavior, but throughout his two months here in the home he has improved tremendously (he now brings his food to his face rather than his face to his food). He has been working on his schoolwork everyday so that he will be prepared to enter first grade next year. He loves to be involved in whatever is going on, and when the other children are washing their uniforms he quickly runs to find a dirty sock, or a stuffed animal, or a scrap of cloth, to wash along with them.
